How to collect customer photos for Etsy orders

Etsy Messages are where many photo attachments already live. That is convenient for one person. It is a mess when the file never makes it onto the order your team produces from.

Three different conversations

Etsy’s own thread is the marketplace inbox. Orderflow does not read or send it.

The imported Shopify order is what your connector created. If customer email and the Shopify order number are present, the customer can look that order up on your Shopify store.

Orderflow’s collection experience is on that lookup page: Collect Info (optional photos, no email) or Request Information (email with a link, required text and/or files if you configured that).

When this actually works

It works when:

• The Etsy sale already exists as a Shopify order
• The customer can use the Shopify order name/number the connector assigned
• There is a customer email on that Shopify order if you want Orderflow to send a request email

If the connector only copies a placeholder email, Request Information will not reach the buyer. Collect Info still requires them to open lookup.

Using Orderflow

Same tools as any other Shopify order. Do not describe this as an Etsy app feature. It is Shopify lookup plus Orderflow Status Actions.
