Status system
Internal and public names, sequence, customer email, and how statuses relate to Status Actions.

Statuses are merchant-defined. Setup can seed Pending, Processing, Ready to Ship, and Completed.
Sequence
The ordered list of statuses is the workflow. Customer lookup can show progress through that sequence.
Customer email
A status may send a customer email when selected. Templates live under email settings. Proof Review and Request Information also send their own customer messages when those Status Actions run.
Proof-related statuses
Optional proof workflow adds statuses such as Proof Sent, Proof Approved, and Changes Requested and connects them to Proof Review outcomes.
