Etsy and marketplace orders
How to manage Etsy and Shopify orders in one place
How website orders and imported Etsy orders can share one production queue in Shopify, without pretending inventory or accounting are solved.

A Shopify website order and an imported Etsy order can look like two different businesses. They often are not. Same maker, same bench, same “did they send the photo yet?”
The operational win is one queue with the same stages, not a promise that inventory, tax, and bookkeeping also collapsed into one app.
What “one place” actually means
It means the work after checkout uses the same names:
- New / received
- Waiting on the customer
- Proof
- In production
- Ready to ship
Website orders arrive in Shopify by themselves. Etsy orders arrive in Shopify only if a compatible connector created them. After that, both are Shopify orders. Your team should not need a second set of status names for the Etsy ones.
What stays separate
Sales channels still differ. Etsy fees, Etsy messages, and Etsy listing rules stay on Etsy. Shopify checkout, Shopify discounts, and your theme stay on Shopify. Accounting still needs both sources unless you already designed that elsewhere.
Do not assume stock counts or profit reports are unified just because orders share a queue.
Customer requirements still attach to the order
Whether the sale started on Etsy or on your site, the missing photo, the proof file, and the Ship by date belong on the working order. If those live only in Etsy Messages or a spreadsheet, you are back to two systems.
Using Orderflow
Orderflow does not merge marketplaces. It holds custom statuses, Ship by, Customer Message, Internal Note, proofs, and lookup against the Shopify order—website or imported.
When you change status in Orderflow, a status- tag is written on that Shopify order, so native Shopify filters can see the same stage.
